Appointments

All Medicor offices see patients by appointment only.  By following this policy we can assure that all of our patients can be seen by one of our providers for an appropriate amount of time.  To make an appointment, please locate the Medicor office you will be visiting on our Office Locations page and call during their office hours.   While you are on the phone with the Medicor scheduler, please confirm that your insurance will be accepted.

On the day of your appointment please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your appointment time.  This will allow you enough time to fill out any necessary paperwork for your visit.  While you are in the waiting room waiting for your appointment please keep in mind that we have multiple physicians in the office that day running different schedules.  It is possible that someone who arrived after you may be called before you.

What to bring to your appointment

Cancellations
If you cannot make it to our office on the day of your scheduled appointment, please call that office to cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance.  This allows us to make the most of our office hours and make your appointment available to other patients.

New Patients
Medicor’s internal and family medicine practices in New York are now accepting new patients on a self referral basis.  Please follow the instructions above to schedule an appointment.  Spanish translators are available at our 504 Central Avenue Dunkirk, NY location.

Medicor’s cardiologists only see patients that are referred by a primary care physician.  After being referred, you can schedule follow up appointments as necessary as long as you have had an appointment with a Medicor cardiologist within the past 3 years.  If you have not had an appointment with a Medicor cardiologist within the past three years you will need to be referred by a primary care physician again.

Medicor’s new patients are matched up with a physician based on symptoms and diagnosis.  Our physicians often consult one other, but they all have different specialties that will suit your individual needs.  If your primary care physician will be referring you to Medicor and they are familiar with our physicians, we invite them to make the decision on which one may suit you best.

Parking
Parking is free in all of the Medicor office parking lots.  If your appointment is at 120 E. 2nd Street Erie, PA (Heart Institute Building) please be sure to park in the lot directly in front of the building.  Bring the lot ticket you receive with you to your appointment.  We validate.
